Giles Lifesaving and Rescue Squad, Inc. is continually searching for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals for membership in our crew. If you are at least 16 years of age and have a desire to help people and a dedication to serving your community, we invite you to submit an application. Our squad accepts trained and untrained people for membership.

Upon receipt of references and review of the completed application, the applicant will be brought before the crew for consideration. If approved by the crew, the member prospect will be granted temporary membership for 6 months. This temporary membership allows you to learn about the policies and procedures of the crew, and to demonstrate your competency and skills as an EMS provider. After 6 months, the prospect will once again be brought before the crew for consideration of full Active Membership or Associate Membership.

A full Active Member is required to acquire and maintain skills and certifications, run at least 2 calls every month, and attend monthly business and training meetings. An Associate Member is required to acquire and maintain skills and certifications but is only required to run 1 call per quarter.

As I perform my duties Lord
Whatever be the call.

My judgment quick and keen.

This calling to give of myself,
Most do not understand.
