Ignorance Indifference – New treatment and techniques pop up all of the time. People resist change to new things because they simply don’t know the whole story; but who should be leading the charge for change? YOU! As EMS professionals, we are passionate, informed and motivated to teach! We learn things first and are often the ones out there beating the drums sometimes years before anything happens. Join Bob Page and learn how to be an agent of change.

In this session, participants are provided down to earth "for dummies" information on various types of stethoscopes and how to use them to get the most out of patient assessment. New and improved methods and techniques are presented and lung and heart sounds are also played aloud so all participants can hear the sounds rather than hear a "description" of the sound. Does it apply to EMS Educators? In this session, we look at things from the student’s perspective and a critical look at ourselves as a whole. Do we have bad “teaching habits?  What would it take to be good teacher? Come join Bob as together we “focus” on improving education.

EMT's Prayer

As I perform my duties Lord
Whatever be the call.

Help to guide and keep me safe
From danger big and small.

I want to serve and do my best,
No matter what the scene.

I pledge to keep my skills refined,
My judgment quick and keen.

This calling to give of myself,
Most do not understand.

But I stand ready all the time,
To help my fellow man.

To have the chance to help a child,
Restore his laugh with glee.

A word of thanks I may not hear,
But knowing is enough for me.

The praise of men is fine for some
But I feel truly blessed,
That you, Oh Lord have chosen me
To serve in EMS.
